So You Don't Get Lost!

Hi Miner Families!

We’ve made it to another Friday and are excited to welcome the weekend!
Here are a few recent events from this week that I recommend asking your child about:
  • School Store – what items were available, what they bought, or what they are saving up for.
  • Sliming the Principal – a fun event we are excited and hopeful for!
  • School Pictures – how picture day went and how they felt about it.
  • Or simply try asking: “What was the best part of your day and why?” Encouraging your child to respond with details and complete sentences will strengthen their communication skills, which in turn has a big impact on their writing ability.

End of Day

Thank you for your patience at the end of the day and for following signs and staff directions to ensure the safety of all our students.
At the end of each day, all Miners will go home in one of these 3 categories: Flagpole Pickup, Bus, or Drive Through.
  • Flagpole Pickup - students that walk home or have a parent park and collect students.
  • Bus - students that ride a bus
  • Drive Through - guardians that pick up their child from the west parking lot car line.


If you are picking up your child before the bell, please contact the office 10 minutes before they check out so that we can have your child ready. Please avoid calling several hours in advance, as we may misplace the note or forget the timing.
 
Lost and Found

Names on Jackets and Lunchboxes

If you mark student belongings, we can help return lost items to you. If you are missing something, please check our Lost & Found that accumulates daily.

  • September 25 - Jog-A-Thon
  • October 3rd - No School
  • October 8th-9th - Parent-Teacher Conferences (1:30 Early Release)
  • October 10th - Teacher In-service (No School)
  • November 4th - Election Day (No School)
  • November 14th - End of Trimester
  • November 24-28th - Thanksgiving Break (No School)
