Hi Miner Families!

Hi Silver Trail Families,

I wanted to take a moment to share a few important updates and upcoming events happening at Silver Trail:

Parent Parking Lot Completion:

Our parking lot has a new pattern.

Chipotle Fundraiser November 19:

Funds will go toward supporting a BMX Anti-Bullying Assembly in May.

Kinder Pie Social November 20:

Parents of Kindergarten students are invited to join.

1st Grade Parade November 21:

Parents of 1st Graders are invited will line the halls of STE and watch the fabulous floats our students have made.

Golden Spatula:

Students earn the award of the Golden Spatula for having the cleanest tables at lunch.

We are Hiring:

New Parking Lot Traffic Pattern

Our new parking lot pattern is now in full effect! Please remember not to park in the red striped lane on the west end, as those two lanes are reserved for cars merging when exiting toward Mason Creek.

For safety, students may only be picked up from the curb. Please make sure you stay in your car as you pick up your student.

We are monitoring dismissal, and so far the entire parking lot is clearing in about 12 minutes. Thank you for helping keep our process safe and efficient!

Chipotle Fundraiser - November 19

We are excited to share that we are hoping to host a BMX Anti-Bullying Assembly in May, featuring professional BMX riders who deliver powerful messages about kindness, confidence, and standing up for others.

To help fund this event, we will be using proceeds from this fundraiser as well as other food-related fundraisers throughout the year.

Kinder Pie Social - November 20

Kindergarten will be hosting our “Pie Social” on Thursday, November 20th from 2:30–3:15 PM in the cafeteria. Students will perform three songs for their families, followed by a time to enjoy pie and milk together (donated by families).

Doors will open at 2:15 PM so parents can arrive and get seated before the performance begins. We look forward to celebrating with you!

1st Grade Parade

Students will line the halls of STE to cheer on the fabulous floats created by our 1st grade students at home. To make the event even more fun, Mrs. B will be leading the parade dressed as a turkey!

We can’t wait to celebrate this creative and festive tradition with our students.

Golden Spatula

The Golden Spatula is a fun way for classrooms to earn bragging rights for having the cleanest tables during lunch. Each week, we award one spatula to a K–2 classroom and one to a 3–5 classroom.

We are Hiring

We are currently hiring for a paraeducator position at Silver Trail Elementary! If you’re interested in having the same schedule as your child in the Kuna School District, this is a great opportunity to apply.

We will begin interviews as early as next week, so don’t wait!

Report Cards Coming Home!

Report cards will be sent home on Friday, November 21 in an envelope for you to sign.

Please keep the report card for your records and return the signed envelope with your child’s homework folder.

All Things Thanksgiving Break!

There will be no school the week of November 24–28 for Thanksgiving Break.

School will resume Monday, December 1.

All Things Christmas Break!

Christmas Break begins after school on Tuesday, December 19 and ends on Monday, January 5.

Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6.

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:

R – Respectful
A – Accountable
I – Integrity
L – Leadership

By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.

We would like to thank you for your generosity and support with this year's food drive. This was the largest amount of donations we've ever had! We ended with a total of 5,904 donated items!! Below are some pictures of all the items donated.
