Dear Miner Families,

It is that time of year when students often get sick. We understand that illnesses happen, and we want you to know that your child’s health and your family’s well-being are important to us. When students need time at home to recover, our school is committed to working with families to provide support and help students transition back to learning as smoothly as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office to let us know if your child(ren) get sick.

We will continue to closely monitor student health and maintain regular cleaning practices to support a safe school environment.

Warm Regards,
Principal Harding

... for Student Clubs

Principal Harding and Vice Principal Bansemer meet regularly with our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) to gather parent input on making STE a great place for students. One area of interest is expanding student clubs, such as Kindness Club, Lego Club (separate from after-school Lego Club), Chess Club, and a Talent Club.

To make these clubs possible, we need parent volunteers. Parents willing to serve as club sponsors and complete the required background check are encouraged to contact Julie Schofield at julieschofield01@gmail.com. Clubs would meet once a week during lunch recess, based on sponsor availability.

Our desire is to have these clubs available for students following spring break and then to continue them into the 2026-2027 school year.

Students and parents are invited to explore over 100 colleges, universities, trade schools, armed forces branches, local employers, and businesses. This is a great opportunity to learn about future education and career pathways and ask questions directly to representatives.

See flyer for more details.

After School Opportunity

Every Thursday, Kuna Athletic Club brings movement, skill-building, and fun to our students! It’s a great opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a team. See the flyer for details.

"Stay on the TRAIL"

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:
  • T – Team Player
  • R – Respectful
  • A – Accountable
  • I – Integrity
  • L – Leadership
By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.
