Dear Miner Families,

We hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating Spring Break!

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we wanted to share a quick update. While the year is winding down, there is still a great deal of important learning ahead, and our team is focused and working hard with students each day to support their continued growth.

We are actively planning for Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduation. Both celebrations will take place on May 22 at KPAC in KHS, and additional details will be shared as they are finalized.

We are also preparing for spring assessments and appreciate your support in ensuring our Miners are well-rested and ready to show what they know.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Warm Regards,
Principal Harding

These students were selected to be recognized by their peers for having the cleanest tables in the cafeteria during lunch & modeling TRAIL behavior. Good work, Miners!

Annual Lego League Expo | April 11 @ KMS

We are excited to announce that on April 11, we will host our annual Lego League Expo at Kuna Middle School from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work and creativity of our elementary students.

We are currently looking for community volunteers to help us bring this event to life and show our students that their community is invested in their success. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we truly appreciate everything you do for the students in Kuna.

If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Chris Dixon at cmdixon@kunaschools.org or reach out to your local elementary school.

Thank you again for your continued support—we look forward to working together to make this year’s Expo a wonderful experience for our students!

2026-2027 Kindergarten Singing Day | April 15

We are excited to welcome our future Miners to Silver Trail on April 15 from 2:00–6:00 PM as they officially join us for the upcoming school year. During this time, we will spend a few minutes getting to know each student through a brief screening to help inform classroom placement. Families will also have the opportunity to receive important information about busing, specials, lunch, and other key details.

We look forward to meeting our newest Miners!

Mother / Son Dodgeball | April 25

Calling all mothers and sons! Join us for a fun-filled evening of dodgeball for grades K–5 on April 25.

This event will be held at Fremont Middle School—come ready to play, laugh, and enjoy time together.

We hope to see you there!

Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder to avoid parking along the west curb painted in red. Doing this helps maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in our parking lot.

Also, please remember that in order to help us all clear out the parking lot efficiently, we are having families exit the parent pick up parking lot by turning right (only) or crossing Mason Creek into the subdivision.

Thank you!

"Stay on the TRAIL"

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:
  • T – Team Player
  • R – Respectful
  • A – Accountable
  • I – Integrity
  • L – Leadership
By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.
