Dear Miner Families,

As we move further into spring, the end of the school year is getting closer each day! While we are focused on finishing this year strong, we are also already hard at work planning for an exciting year ahead.

We look forward to welcoming many of our incoming families on Wednesday, April 15 for [incoming] Kindergarten Signing Day. Our team has been planning for this special event for weeks, and we are excited to meet our future kindergarten students and begin building those important connections.

At the same time, we are deep into preparations for two of our most meaningful celebrations—Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduation. These events are a wonderful way to honor our students’ growth and accomplishments throughout the year.

Please save the date for both celebrations on May 22 @ KPAC:
  • Kindergarten Graduation at 11:00 a.m.
  • 5th Grade Graduation at 2:00 p.m.
We look forward to celebrating these milestones with you and your students!

2026-2027 Kindergarten Signing Day | April 15

We are excited to welcome our future Miners to Silver Trail on April 15 from 2:00–6:00 PM as they officially join us for the upcoming school year. During this time, we will spend a few minutes getting to know each student through a brief screening to help inform classroom placement. Families will also have the opportunity to receive important information about busing, specials, lunch, and other key details.

We look forward to meeting our newest Miners!
 

STE Hawaiian Luau Book Fair

Mother / Son Dodgeball | April 25

Calling all mothers and sons! Join us for a fun-filled evening of dodgeball for grades K–5 on April 25.

This event will be held at Fremont Middle School—come ready to play, laugh, and enjoy time together.

We hope to see you there!
 

Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder to avoid parking along the west curb painted in red. Doing this helps maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in our parking lot.

Also, please remember that in order to help us all clear out the parking lot efficiently, we are having families exit the parent pick up parking lot by turning right (only) or crossing Mason Creek into the subdivision morning and afternoon.

After School Opportunity

Every Thursday, Kuna Athletic Club brings movement, skill-building, and fun to our students! It’s a great opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a team. See the flyer for details.

"Stay on the TRAIL"

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:
  • T – Team Player
  • R – Respectful
  • A – Accountable
  • I – Integrity
  • L – Leadership
By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.
