Dear Miner Families,

We are heading into our final two weeks of school, and we still have many exciting events ahead!

On Monday, we will hold our TRAIL Assembly to celebrate our Miners and all of their hard work throughout the school year. Please remember that Thursday, May 21 is an early release day in celebration of the Kuna High School graduation ceremony. School releases at 1:30.

Please note that on Tuesday, we will have elections polling in the STE gym. Please be aware for traffic and parking lots. They will be extra busy.

We are also excited for our upcoming graduation celebrations on Friday, May 22 at KPAC:
• Kindergarten Graduation — 11:00 AM
• 5th Grade Graduation — 1:30 PM (please note the updated time)

Finally, please save the date for our STE Family Picnic on May 29 from 11:00 AM–1:30 PM here at STE! Families are invited to join us as we celebrate a wonderful school year together.

Warm Regards,
Principal Harding

Family Picnic | May 29 Save the Date

Families, please join us as we celebrate the last day of school together as a community! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the afternoon with us. Families are also welcome to bring a canopy or yard game if desired (space is limited). Students will also be participating in special celebrations they earned through their hard work and ISAT performance achievements. We look forward to celebrating a great year together!

Boise Hawks Reading Program

We are excited to participate in the Boise Hawks Reading Program! Each student has received a reading booklet to track their progress.

Once the program requirements are met, students will earn a voucher for a free Boise Hawks game ticket. Please help your child track their reading and reach out to their teacher if you have any questions.

Happy reading, and go Hawks!

Schoolwide Pajama Day | May 20

In celebration of the final weeks of school, we are excited to announce a schoolwide Pajama Day on Wednesday, May 20! Students are invited to wear their favorite school-appropriate pajamas and enjoy a fun and cozy day of learning together as we wrap up an amazing school year.

Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder to avoid parking along the west curb painted in red. Doing this helps maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in our parking lot.

Also, please remember that in order to help us all clear out the parking lot efficiently, we are having families exit the parent pick up parking lot by turning right (only) or crossing Mason Creek into the subdivision morning and afternoon.
Thank you!

After School Opportunity

Every Thursday, Kuna Athletic Club brings movement, skill-building, and fun to our students! It’s a great opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a team. See the flyer for details.

Preschool Opportunity

If you are looking for preschool options, here is a local one to consider.

"Stay on the TRAIL"

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:
  • T – Team Player
  • R – Respectful
  • A – Accountable
  • I – Integrity
  • L – Leadership
By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.
