Dear Miner Families,

This is the final newsletter for the year! It's hard to believe it!!

We want to thank our families and congratulate Kindergarten and 5th Grade for their graduations on May 22!

It is our final week of school, and our last day is Friday, May 29. You are invited to come and spend the final hours with us here at STE from 11:00 AM–1:30 PM for our Family Picnic and send off. See details below.

Have a wonderful summer break!

Warm Regards,

Family Picnic | May 29 Save the Date

Families, please join us as we celebrate the last day of school together as a community! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the afternoon with us. Families are also welcome to bring a canopy or yard game if desired (space is limited). Students will also be participating in special celebrations they earned through their hard work and ISAT performance achievements. We look forward to celebrating a great year together!

For student entertainment, we are excited to celebrate our students and their accomplishments earned through their ISAT performance!

From 11:30–12:30, students will enjoy time for yearbook signing, outdoor games, and sack lunches as we come together as a school community.

Beginning at 12:00, we will kick off a series of student-earned celebrations:
  • At 12:30, Mrs. Jenny will get (temporary) tattooed by Mrs. Gunter’s class for highest Math proficiency as a class.
  • At 12:35, Mrs. Moss will participate in a “pie in the face” celebration, awarded to Sierra Copeland for earning the highest Math ISAT score in the school.
  • At 12:40, Mr. Harding will participate in a “bedazzling” celebration of his head and dyeing his beard by Monroe Murray (Math) and Ruby Einerson (ELA), the highest ISAT scorers in 3rd grade; Everleigh Love (Math) and Gabe Forbes (ELA), the highest in 4th grade; and Alonna Jangula (Math) and Lailey Divecha (ELA), the highest in 5th grade.
  • At 12:45, Mrs. B. will have her hair cut by Kolter Larsen in recognition of his highest ELA ISAT score in the school.
  • We would also like to note that Mrs. King's class voted and chose Mrs. Calwell's summer hair color because of their highest classroom proficiency for ELA! You will see her new hair color at the Family Picnic!

We look forward to celebrating our students’ hard work and achievements together as a school community.

Summer Office Hours

Please note that our front office will close for the summer on June 5 and will reopen on July 27. We encourage families to plan accordingly if assistance or materials are needed from the school during that time.

Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder to avoid parking along the west curb painted in red. Doing this helps maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in our parking lot.

Also, please remember that in order to help us all clear out the parking lot efficiently, we are having families exit the parent pick up parking lot by turning right (only) or crossing Mason Creek into the subdivision morning and afternoon.
Thank you!

"Stay on the TRAIL"

At Silver Trail Elementary, we have schoolwide rules that apply everywhere students go—classroom, bathroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, and beyond. These expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone.

We remind students to "Stay on the TRAIL" every day during announcements, using our TRAIL expectations:
  • T – Team Player
  • R – Respectful
  • A – Accountable
  • I – Integrity
  • L – Leadership
By following TRAIL expectations, our students are set up for success no matter where they are in our school community and earn TRAIL tickets for the school store when they get caught following the TRAIL.
