The Silver Trail Guide

So You Don't Get Lost!

September 21, 2026
Silver Trail Elementary School

Hi Miner Families!

Our annual Jog-A-Thon is coming up on Friday, September 25! We would love to have you come and cheer on our students. If you are feeling like a jog, you are welcome to participate. If participation looks like making and holding a custom sign of support for your child(ren), please do that. We will be in need of parent support to help keep track of student laps - ask PTA if they could use your help when you get here! Please just don't forget to sign in at the main office.

STE Staff would like to thank our PTA for all of their efforts to make this day run smoothly! It is no easy task to launch a fundraiser and it is very time intensive. So thank you for all you do, PTA!

Lastly, thank you all for your continued support and involvement in our school community!

Sincerely,
Principal Harding

Save the Date | Pastries with Parents | October 16

We are excited to bring back Pastries with Parents this year. This event has sold out in the past. We will be preselling tickets to get a cinnamon roll with your child.
  • Please plan for a cap of 2 grownups to attend. We anticipate this event to sell out for and parking to be a challenge.
  • There will be normal school breakfast available for student purchase. No additional parents/sibling breakfasts will be available for purchase.
  • We will start our school day promptly at 8:50, so please plan to depart by this time.

Our student online store is live and ready for your order. Please take a look by clicking here. The links will be active until September 30th.
Items from $12 - $25.

Student Drop Off / End of Day Pick Up

Thank you for your patience before and after school and for following signs and staff directions to ensure the safety of all our students. At the end of each day, all Miners will go home in one of these 3 categories: Flagpole Pickup, Bus, or Drive Through.
  • Flagpole Pickup - students that walk home or have a parent park and collect students.
  • Bus - students that ride a bus
  • Drive Through - guardians that pick up their child from the west parking lot car line.
Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders

  • Safety of your child(ren) is our priority. Please pick up and drop off your child in the designated areas.
  • Be patient, especially as we start the school year and the pick/up drop off routines are new to many families. We will have staff to support you and others outside.
  • Give yourself extra time to safely drop off/pick up.
  • Be patient with other parents/guardians in the drop off/pick up line.
  • No drop off/pick up in the bus lane.
  • Do not park in the drop off/pick up lane. If you need to park, use a designated parking spot and thank you for not parking against the red painted curb in the west end of the parking lot,
  • Drop off may begin no earlier than 8:30 AM because there is no student supervision until then.
  • Pull forward as far as you can. Discuss with your child(ren) the type of car (color, make, model) you will be in at pick up.
  • Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or sidewalks.
  • Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) Notify the office of changes by 12:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Thank you for not parking against the red paint on the west end of parent pickup.
