The Silver Trail Guide

So You Don't Get Lost!

October 19, 2026
Silver Trail Elementary School

Hi Miner Families!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for Pastries with Parents this morning! It was an absolute pleasure hosting over 500 guests in our school. Seeing our halls filled with family, smiles, and great conversation was a fantastic way to start the day.

We deeply appreciate your presence, your partnership, and everything you do to support our school community and students. Education is a true partnership between school, families, and students, and without your active involvement, our success is limited. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support!

Warmly,
Principal Harding

Student Drop Off / End of Day Pick Up

Thank you for your patience before and after school and for following signs and staff directions to ensure the safety of all our students. At the end of each day, all Miners will go home in one of these 3 categories: Flagpole Pickup, Bus, or Drive Through.
  • Flagpole Pickup - students that walk home or have a parent park and collect students.
  • Bus - students that ride a bus
  • Drive Through - guardians that pick up their child from the west parking lot car line.
Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders

  • Safety of your child(ren) is our priority. Please pick up and drop off your child in the designated areas.
  • Be patient, especially as we start the school year and the pick/up drop off routines are new to many families. We will have staff to support you and others outside.
  • Give yourself extra time to safely drop off/pick up.
  • Be patient with other parents/guardians in the drop off/pick up line.
  • No drop off/pick up in the bus lane.
  • Do not park in the drop off/pick up lane. If you need to park, use a designated parking spot and thank you for not parking against the red painted curb in the west end of the parking lot,
  • Drop off may begin no earlier than 8:30 AM because there is no student supervision until then.
  • Pull forward as far as you can. Discuss with your child(ren) the type of car (color, make, model) you will be in at pick up.
  • Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or sidewalks.
  • Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) Notify the office of changes by 12:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Thank you for not parking against the red paint on the west end of parent pickup.
